The Power of Cherishing Every Moment

It’s not often that you see people enjoying the moment and really living in the present and not using their phones or any other distractions to capture the moment. Lately, I’ve been learning to live in the moment. I’ve learned that by doing this and really enjoying things with friends and family makes events and memories even greater. More time for laughter, more time to learn more about people and more time to love.

Now of course I still go on my phone at times but, one thing I wish I knew a while ago is that being glued to my phone is taking away from precious time that we get here with others on earth. Not just cell phones, but other things like wasting time, and saying NO to hanging out with parents and family instead of skipping out and saying yes to friends that you can always hang out with.

It’s the little things in life that matter. A conversation with your Grandpa about his childhood, laughing with your Grandma about a funny memory when you were little, spending time with the ones we love and just really being present. Not sidetracked by the things in life that may be stressful, and all of the things you have to do. Making each moment great and treating every encounter with loved ones precious so that you can build memories that will last a long time.

So don’t forget to laugh sometimes and not take everything too serious, don’t forget to have fun once in a while and take time with family and most of all don’t forget to be present with yourself and take time for what YOU need!
